AV & Technology Buildout

A great workplace doesn’t happen by accident—it’s designed to make it easy for people to collaborate, create, and perform at their best while delivering a strong DEX (digital employee experience). In 2020, as Wray Ward prepared to move into a new purpose-built headquarters, I led the planning and delivery of the agency’s AV and technology buildout—turning a big vision into a dependable, future-ready setup that worked just as well in-person as it did hybrid.

From leadership presentations to everyday team huddles, every space was designed to be simple to use, consistent across rooms, and scalable—so the technology supported the work, reduced friction, and improved the day-to-day experience for employees rather than getting in the way.

Scope & Execution

  • Installed and supervised the buildout of 14 Zoom Rooms, each equipped with wall-mounted displays, ceiling microphones, integrated AV controls, and virtual whiteboards.

  • Designed and implemented a 130-person common meeting space, featuring a 16-foot dropdown projection screen, professional-grade AV switching, multi-camera capture, and full Zoom Webinar capability.

  • Established the technology architecture and AV design standards across collaboration zones — from small huddle rooms to large-scale presentation environments.

  • Created AV standard operating procedures (SOPs) and trained teams on usage, enabling consistent, low-friction adoption across the organization.

Impact

  • Enabled seamless hybrid collaboration across departments, improving engagement and reducing time lost to technical barriers.

  • Stage-managed 40+ town hall events, delivering high-quality live video experiences with consistent branding, audio clarity, and multi-angle capture.

  • Supported Wray Ward’s goal of 1.5 collaboration spaces per desk, optimizing AV setups for impromptu ideation, team workshops, and client presentations.

  • Positioned AV as an enabler of organizational culture — not just tech — by integrating it into every layer of creative and operational work.
